#4 Quick start information!
noticeboard

Ok, so you have decided you need this prep thing, now what?

1. 72 hour kit. This is step 1, you have to handle the first 72 hours of an emergency or you are toast. Get the 72 hour kit list and see what you have on hand and what you need. Remember these items are not used for other things, if you do the probably won’t end up back in the kit.

2. Start making a list, put a notepad in the kitchen and one on your person. List EVERYthing you make to eat and buy to eat. This is the basis for building a food stores that you won’t throw out. This idealogy is to store what you eat and eat what you store. Don’t go out a buy anything yet, just make the list for 1 month.

3. Then get the food stores worksheet and instructions, (it’s free on the “RESOURCES” page) and begin to list the food you bought in Column 2. Then you know where to start adding food as you go, the list will also show you how long your stores will last as you go.

4. Think more Water. The store list has input for water. Figure 2 gallons per person/per day. We will have videos up soon to help select storage containers and ideas.

Welcome aboard and feel free to send email, comment and ask questions. We are here to help.
